The following is an excerpt from my book: "Blogs4Bucks." Please enjoy the following entry and check us out at, "www.blogs4bucks.com."
As noted, the
word “blog” stems from “web-log,” which was a term used to describe online
journals, usually arranged in chronological
order.
Blogs, in essence, began as little more than an ongoing logs or journals
of one’s thoughts, undertakings or ideas.
Blogs have
a reputation these days. They’ve evolved into
becoming a
force unto themselves. That’s why my definition
of a blog
might surprise you.
Blogs are
web sites.
It’s
really that simple. A blog is a web site. All of the
standard
rules that apply to any traditional static site
will
adhere to a blog.
There are
only a few elements that distinguish a blog from
a static
site. We will discuss those in the near future.
